The Widelux Club is a global community dedicated to celebrating and sharing panoramic photography made with the Widelux camera.
The Club was created in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, by photographer Rogério Lucas Filho (@autorefractor) as a way for photographers around the world to connect and share their work with the Widelux camera.
Back then, Instagram was the chosen platform. Thanks to its three-photo-by-line grid layout, it was ideal for showcasing the full span of panoramic images. The feed then naturally became a virtual gallery: one where viewers could experience each image in its entirety just by scrolling. And with that, the Club began to take shape.
It didn’t take long to see how passionate and eager Widelux users were to share their photos with fellow enthusiasts. Within weeks, hundreds of submissions had poured in, panoramas from all over the globe, waiting to be featured.
Since then, the Club has grown into a diverse community of thousands of photographers, collectors, and lovers of film and panoramic photography alike. As the resurgence of analog photography continues, The Widelux Club keeps expanding, welcoming new members every day.
Now, five years in, it was time to take the next step: launching The Widelux Club website. Here, you’ll find even more content, such as interviews, articles and resources.
Want to be part of the club? Make sure to share your work here and help keeping the community alive.
